Mickey just started giving hugs to his stuffed animals...it's so cute! He holds it and put his head down on it and goes "ahhh..." mimicking my "aww". He does it to other random things too like his pacifiers. What can I say? He loves them. He even gave his friend Silas a hug at church yesterday which was sweet. He loves to hug his bear the most though.

He also climbed up onto our love seat all by himself...(to get to Daddy's computer) The little rascal is extremely active and I bet he'll be walking before long. He doesn't really like to walk holding onto our fingers though (he can't go as fast as he wants). He'd rather crawl and then cruise along the furniture and walls.

Mickey is very happy (along with Mommy and Daddy) that his favorite team, the Boston Red Sox, won the world series. He was asleep so he missed the game, but his dad told him this morning and he seemed very pleased....

While Chris was gone on a buisness trip this past weekend, Mickey and Mommy went to a cookout at a friend's house where Mickey enjoyed his first taste of pumpkin pie!

The Little Man

Mickey stood by himself! I still cannot believe it...he pulled himself up on our tv entertainment center thing and let go. I don't think he realized that he did it at first but he seemed very proud of himself after the fact. Chris was away in Hilton Head at the time so he missed it, but Mickey made up for it tonight.....

...Not only did he make up for it, he surpassed himself...but this time I was at the grocery store so I missed it.

I had told Chris about him standing by himself so while I was gone Chris was trying to get him to do it. He held him up and the let go and Mickey stood alone. So then Chris got the idea to hold his hands and have him walk. Chris did this and then let go and mickey took a step alone and then fell on his butt. That's right, Mickey TOOK HIS FIRST STEP...

Chris is telling me that it doesn't count as his first step because he didn't stand by himself and then take a step, but still...I'm sad that I missed it but I am glad Chris was able to see it :)
